Natural language processing (NLP)

What is Natural language processing (NLP)?
Natural language processing (NLP) is the field that helps machines read, understand and write human languages such as Vietnamese or English.
NLP used to be separate tools: sorting email, machine translation, keyword search. Since large language models, most of those jobs run through one model. Vietnamese with its accents, abbreviations and slang is still where AI misreads most often.

A system reading "ship hn bn" and understanding the customer is asking about delivery fees to Hanoi is NLP.
