AI agent

What is AI agent?
An AI agent is AI given a goal that takes several steps on its own to reach it: looking things up, using tools, checking the result and reporting back.
An agent differs from a chatbot in that it does not stop at an answer. It breaks the job into steps, calls the tools it is allowed to use (stock, calendar, email, orders) and reads the results to decide what to do next. Because it does real work, its mistakes are real too: limit what it may do and keep a person approving the important steps.
