What is Data privacy?
Data privacy, when using AI, is about where customer and shop data sent to the AI goes, who can see it and how long it is kept.
Pasting customers' phone numbers, addresses or order history into a free AI tool can mean sending that data out. Read the terms: is the data used for training, and can that be switched off? In Vietnam, the Personal Data Protection Law took effect on 1 January 2026.
Data privacy in a shop
To have AI write an apology for a late order, describe the situation; do not paste the customer's name, phone and address.
