AI search and GEO
Written by Minh Khang
What is AI search and GEO?
AI search is a search engine answering directly with AI-written text instead of only listing links; GEO is writing so that AI quotes you.
Google has shown AI Overviews since 2024; with ChatGPT Search and Perplexity, people read the answer and leave, clicking through less. Getting cited by AI is called GEO (generative engine optimization): write clearly, give numbers, answer the question directly.

A shop FAQ that says "city delivery 20,000 VND" is easier for AI to quote than a banner image.
